Pregnancy at 4 months...How it's been so far

Overall I feel GREAT, now in my 2nd trimester.

15 weeks and 4 days

In my 1st trimester (month 1-3) I was nautious for about 5 weeks. Honestly, I think it made me eat healthier. Now I have my regular appetite back and pretty much want to put everything in my mouth (like a toddler).   I have had "itches" in certain places, an occasional pain in my abdomen (growing pains) and have a hard time shutting down my mind at night to go to sleep. But, that's it...so far. In my 1st tri, I was also more tired in the evenings and would feel like I was getting a low grade cold or fever. Then the next morning I would feel just fine. I guess it was just my body regulating all of those hormones. I don't get as tired now, but sometimes just feel like laying on the couch and doing nothing.

My biggest struggle has been ALL things sweet and delicious! Someone brought these into the office this morning.

I am proud to say that I ate just one. A great accomplishment! When I am faced with a box of sugary variety, I want to try them all!

We've had good news on each doctor visit. The only concern on our last visit, was a blood test that shows I am a carrier of a bacteria called "Group B Strep." 1 out of 4 healthy women have it. There is supposedly nothing you do to get it and nothing you do to get rid of it. It resides either in a woman's intestines, vagina or anus (sorry, had to use the gross words). My gynocolist said they would have to give me antibiotics during labor, to help prevent the baby from contracting the bacteria. With antibiotics there is a 1 in 4000 chance the baby would get it. Without antibiotics there is a 1 in 200 chance they would get it. So, even though I'm a little concerened about the effects of the antibiotics (because they kill good & bad bacteria together)-I think I'll take the antibiotics.

And now for some more interesting facts ;-)

Weight Gained: 2 pounds (I'm surprised every time I get on the scale, because it feels like I've gained more!)
Wearing Maternity Clothes Yet: Nope
Cravings: Ice Cream, chocolate, peanut butter (but I craved these before pregnancy, so...And I'm in heaven if these are put all together in one bowl)
Foods Aversions: None right now! I was pretty nautious between weeks 6-10. During that time I couldn't really stomach eating a salad or sometimes chicken.
