Better Late than Never: Our Thanksgiving

Our Thanksgiving ended up to be kid-less this year (my neice and nephew were with other family), but all of us adults still had a blast!

Sorry, kids...we really did miss you :-)

We first went to my bro and sis in laws, where we enjoyed some awesome food & learned how to play "Hillbilly Horse Shoes."

It's a little hard to see, but I'm holding rope with a golf ball attached to each end. See that white hurdle thing beside me? There's another one a distance away from me. You sling the golf balls and....

hopefully they wrap around one of the bars (like this) and you get a certain amount of points. If you miss, you don't get any points. That's the gist of it. You can buy it in the stores, but my fam made this one themselves.

It was so much fun (more fun than regular horse shoes)! And my husband and I won the title of Hillbilly Champions. I have a feeling we'll be making this game a tradition) :-)

After working off those calories, we headed over to my parents house for some more good food and a game of "Pin the hat on the Turkey." Just like "Pin the tail on the Donkey."

It was hilarious, watching all of us look so goofy after being spun around and trying to walk in the right direction.

I'm sure my dad won't mind me posting this video of his shot at putting the hat on the turkey...

I'm so thankful for our family and the blessings that God has given us ~ too many to count.

Oh, and just a reminder to check those expiration dates... my sis thought some of the pickles tasted funny and we discovered that they had expired in 2008!
