"Dear Baby" Thursday

I thought it would be a great idea to write to the baby every week. I'm gong to try to keep it on Thursday, so I can call it "Dear Baby" Thursday ;-)

Before I write to the baby, I wanted to share a picture of the changing table we bought at The Way Center (a non profit ministry).
We got a really good deal & it felt good knowing that the money goes to helping women & children in our area.

There are some scratch marks on the shelves, but some cute baskets will cover those up. The table is already in my bathroom at my office. Ready for me to use every day when I take the baby to work. Thankfully, mom and dad bought us another changing table for home. I am going to cloth diaper and haven't quite figured out how I'm going to split up the diapers between home & work, so that I have enough at both places. But, that's another post.

Dear Baby,

Mommy & Daddy haven't picked a name out for you yet and a friend said I have to stop calling you "it", so I thought it would be cute to call you our Little Monkey.

I'm not sure if I have felt you moving yet. I read that the first movements are so subtle they might be mistaken for hunger or gas (and, well we did make some really good Chile the other night). ;-) But, I swear every once in a while I feel a small tingling feeling in my tummy. Kind of like when your foot falls asleep and it starts waking up. You'll have to give me a good kick, so I can tell that it is really you.

I'm so sorry that I have been eating junk food lately. I know you probably like it just as much as I do, but it's not good for you. I'll be telling you this for the rest of your life, so you better get use to it now.

We can't wait to find out if you are a girl or a boy! You are the biggest blessing that we are thankful for this Thanksgiving.

If you are a girl, you will have the cutest dresses. And i hope you like pink. Mommy will have someone to watch chick flicks with and daddy will probably become even more sweeter than he already is.

If you are a boy, you will be our prince charming I'm sure. Daddy will teach you everything he knows about football & basketball and mommy will learn with you how to catch and throw better.

I pray that you know from the earliest age that God made you Special and He loves you very much.

That's if for now Little Monkey.

Love, Mommy
